PGA TOUR Champions announced on April 29, modifications to its 2020 schedule due to the ongoing health crisis related to COVID-19.
As a result, we wanted to provide an update regarding The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren’s 2020 playing, slated for July 27 – August 2. We are encouraged that this year’s tournament will be contested during its originally scheduled dates, and we welcome the restart of the PGA TOUR Champions season at Warwick Hills.
First and foremost, the health and safety of everyone associated with The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren and the state of Michigan is and will continue to be our number one priority as we navigate the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
It is important to stress as we prepare for the 2020 Ally Challenge, that we will absolutely continue to follow the advice and recommendations of the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control along with local, state and federal government agencies.
Together with the PGA TOUR, we will continue to assess the challenges posed by COVID-19 to determine the best course of action for The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren, which – at this point -- includes a number of scenarios. We are committed to being responsible, thoughtful and transparent with our decision process and we expect to make further announcements over the coming weeks.
We appreciate the support and understanding of our title sponsor Ally, presenting sponsor McLaren Health Care and our fans, business and non-profit partners and community members who have made this event such an overwhelming success and will continue to make it successful moving forward.
As always, we encourage our fans to stay informed on the developments of the Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 through official sources such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website (cdc.gov) and https://www.michigan.gov/Coronavirus.
