The Celebrity Challenge, a fan-favorite event, returned to the 2024 The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren! The marquee competition featured two-time Emmy Award winning actor Jeff Daniels, singer-songwriter Quinn XCII, former Detroit Red Wings enforcer Joey Kocur, former University of Michigan and NFL wide receiver Braylon Edwards, Michigan native and professional golfer Shasta Averyhardt, and LPGA legends Juli Inkster, Laura Diaz and Leta Lindley.
The Celebrity Challenge took place on Saturday, August 24 – following the last tournament pairing of round two – and was contested over a new four-hole format on holes 1, 2, 17 and 18. The team of Quinn XCII, Laura Diaz, Leta Lindley and Jeff Daniels won $25,000 for Reach Resource Services. Juli Inkster, Shasta Averyhardt, Joey Kocut and Braylon Edwards took home $5,000 for Shelter of Flint.
